Winston-Salem Symphony: St. John Passion

Robert Moody, conductorFrom November, 2011, a timely offering for the Easter holiday from the Winston-Salem Symphony with the Winston-Salem Symphony Chorale and guest soloists. Of Bach’s Passions for Holy Week the St. John is less-often performed because of its controversial text. Nevertheless, it’s widely acknowledged as a masterwork of the Western musical canon.
