South Carolina Philharmonic Masterworks IV: Soundscapes

Jonny Greenwood 100

From its 2011-2012 Masterworks series, the South Carolina Philharmonic presents another innovative concert under Music Director Morohiko Nakahara combining contemporary orchestral music with beloved standards. The concert opens with an orchestral piece by rock musician Jonny Greenwood of the British band Radiohead. Two of the orchestra’s musicians shine as soloists in the Brahms Double Concerto. The second half of the program is devoted to music by the Finnish master Jean Sibelius.
